Hello and a warm welcome to my little corner of the internet… below you’ll find out a little bit about me, my passions, and offerings. If we haven’t met before, I’m Fiona and I’m currently based in Nottingham. When asked what I do I describe myself as multi-passionate, I’m a yoga teacher, sound practitioner and creative weaving feminine embodiment throughout my life and offerings… My mission is pretty simple, to help busy people create time and space for themselves

I dabbled a little with yoga as a teenager but became instantly hooked in 2012 when a friend took me to a hot yoga class in London, falling in love with how the practice made me feel both mentally and physically.
I took the decision to train to teach yoga in 2020 and initially trained in power vinyasa with Dylan Ayaloo, a teacher who trained a lot of teachers whose classes I loved to attend. I’m forever a student and continue to delve into this ancient practice and have completed further trainings including yin, yoga nidra and pranayama (breath work). Most recently I completed my 500hour certification, taking my training hours to 800plus.
My personal practice continues to eb and flow, meeting me where I am in life, although power vinyasa was the first style of asana (yoga postures) that I fell in love with, more recently whilst supporting myself with vestibular migraines, yin has been amazing for me. If you’d like to practice with me, you can join me for in-person classes around Nottingham. I also offer 121s and private / corporate sessions too, please reach out if you would like to discuss.

Sound healing took me by surprise, it wasn’t something I would have pictured myself doing when I originally left the corporate world back in 2017 to pursue working for myself, but I became obsessed with crystal singing bowls and followed my inner knowing to pursue this passion.
In 2023 I originally trained as a sound meditation teacher with the Stratford School of Meditation. To deepen my practice, I more recently trained under Holly Husler to gain my Level 2 training in crystal singing bowls. My style is soothing, I’m about easing anxiety and creating relaxed spaces. I currently run monthly Tuesday and Sunday sessions at A Space to Breathe in Arnold alongside other workshops – you can check out My Offerings for upcoming sessions. I work mainly with crystal singing bowls but have also recently purchased my first big gong so watch this space!
One of the amazing things that has come out of training in sound is being able to collaborate with others, I have collaborated with some amazing sound healers as part of Sound Collective to hold the East Midlands biggest Sound Baths at Nottingham Contemporary. These sessions are spectacular and you can find out more here.

I’m a creative at heart, leaning into leading a slow and creative life. My degree is in Jewellery & Silversmithing from the Birmingham School of Jewellery and although this passion was put on the backburner for a long time, in my 30s I was called back to it (I’ve heard people say that in later life you’re drawn back to the things that you enjoyed as a child and that is so true for me!) I now create one-of-kind and limited-edition pieces jewellery, which you’ll find in my Shop. I often incorporate the healing power of crystals and my work has an organic feel to it, often inspired by the natural world around us.
One of my favourite ways to relax is meditative art, especially mandala art, an artform I started to explore during covid lockdown. I fell in love with the way this practice allows me to switch off and enter a meditative state, I now sell my mandala pieces, hoping they will bring others as much joy and they did me painting them, and will be hosting my first mandala workshops later this year (2025) at my creative studio based at Primary, an artist led organisation here in Nottingham.

This may sound strange coming from a yoga teacher but in late 2024/ early 2025 I noticed a disconnect with my body, a sense I was switched off from listening to my body and a realisation that I had started to become numb to my body’s wisdom. It was around this time that I discovered Jasmin Chew online and started to follow her work with an interest bubbling within to explore feminine embodiment further. It was a full body YES when I started reading the content about her upcoming Feminine Embodiment Training and so I embarked on my most recent training this year and it was a powerful one.
I went into this training with an open mind and left with an open heart. I was unsure of where it was going to take me but this work opened up a new way living for me, an appreciation for the land I live on, a love of rose and practices that allowed me to meet parts of myself with compassion that have (unconsciously) been running my life. Parts work is one of the many practices within this work and for me there was a lot of inner child work, lots of time spent with little Fi learning to accept and love her and ensure she knows I’m here. It hasn’t been easy and the journey continues but I’m glad to be on this path.
Rose has been one of my greatest teachers on this journey, it is why my first feminine embodiment offerings will centre around rose. I am also opening up some spaces to work with me 121 on a donation basis. Further details on this will be shared soon, but if you feel called to explore feminine embodiment with me you can express your interest my reaching out via email to fionaharrisyoga@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for reading!
Much Love,
Fiona
