mandala Christmas decoration workshop

Take some time out for you this festive period and join me in my Studio at Primary to try your hand at dot mandala painting, creating your very own Christmas decoration to take away with you and proudly display. 

When: Choose from Saturday 22nd November or Saturday 13th December, 10:00am - 12:30pm (2.5hours)  

Where: My Studio based at Primary, 33 Seely Road, Nottingham, NG7 1NU.

Please note: My studio is on the first floor and is accessible by stairs only, unfortunately limiting access for some. Please reach out if you have any questions.

What To Expect:

A relaxed atmosphere and time to paint, sessions are small and limited to 6 people only, so you’ll have lots of support to learn the techniques, get advice and ask questions. You can choose to follow and copy the exact pattern I have created for the workshop or use this as inspiration and create something completely unique to you. You’ll have the choice to either create a decoration with a neutral colour pattern or incorporating blues (see pictures).

At the end of the session, you can either carefully transport you decoration home with instructions on how to remove the guide marks and finish your piece once the paint has dried, or leave it with me to finish for you and arrange to collect at a later date.

What’s Provided:

• One 4inch circular preprepared MDF base, smoothed & painted ready for us to draw guide marks together and paint
• All the materials you’ll need to create your decoration; dotting tools, brushes, paint etc… alongside card to practice techniques 
• Selection of ribbons and strings to choose from to hang your piece
• Refreshments

• Those seeking a form of meditative art, looking for mindful activities to help relax
• Anyone wanting to try something a little different this Christmas, looking for a festive activity to try alone or with friends

I have been practising this art form for a few years now and find the process extremely relaxing and can’t wait to share to share with others. Expect to leave with lots of hints and tips on how to continue your mandala painting journey at home!
